Open to everyone; you do not need to be enrolled on a course. The annual retreat weekends and weeks also form part of the Philosophy Programme.

Waterperry Retreat Programme 2026/27

Days of study and reflection at Waterperry House and Gardens in Oxfordshire. A residential School retreat combining wisdom, rest and enjoyment.

Aspects of Light open retreats - 2026

Residential retreats in the Leicestershire countryside, offering stillness, study, and the practice of attention. Two date options available.

What to expect

The programme

Morning meditation, philosophical enquiry in small groups, time to walk the grounds, and shared meals. The pace is unhurried.

Who can attend

Open to students at any stage of the course and to those new to the School. No prior experience of meditation or philosophy is required.

Accommodation

Fully residential. The price includes two nights in the house and full board from Friday evening through to Sunday afternoon.

Places are limited. Reserve your place through the retreat page, or register interest for retreats not yet open.

A retreat is not an escape from life but a return to something essential in it.
