Seven rooms in the house.

The Ballroom

The largest space in the house, running the full depth of the south wing. Period plasterwork ceiling, tall sash windows overlooking the south lawn, a sprung wooden floor. Used for larger retreats, celebrations, and concerts.

The contemporary frescoes by Hamish Miller and colleagues line the walls of the staircase leading to the Ballroom.

The Round Room

A circular drawing room with a domed ceiling and French doors opening to the garden. One of the architecturally distinctive rooms in the house, suited to smaller gatherings and seminars.

The Library

A panelled room lined with bookcases, overlooking the courtyard. Used regularly for seminars, small group meetings, and philosophy study sessions.

The Dining Room

The principal dining room of the house, used daily during residential retreats. A long table seats guests for meals prepared in the house kitchen using produce from the walled garden where possible.

All meals at Waterperry are vegetarian.

The Artists Hall

A ground-floor studio space with good natural light, used for art courses, workshops, and breakout sessions. Direct access to the garden.

The Green Room

A relaxed sitting room off the main entrance hall, used as a reception space and rest room during retreats and events.

The Hall

The entrance hall of the house, with a flagstone floor and the base of the main staircase. Suitable for registration and welcome gatherings at the start of events.
