Wisdom
The School's introductory course. Ten weeks exploring fundamental questions: how we know, how we should live, and what it means to pay attention. No prior knowledge required.
About this course
Practical Philosophy is a course in practical wisdom for everyday living. It is practical rather than academic, drawing on sources of wisdom from East and West, past and present, and inviting you to test the words of the wise through simple exercises and reflection.
The aim of the course is to discover more fully who we are, to understand how we relate to the world around us, and to see what gets in the way of living with happiness, peace, and freedom.
Over ten weekly sessions you study in the good company of others, exploring ideas you can put to use straight away. No previous study of philosophy is needed.
