The recently completed mural at the School’s premises at Mandeville Place.

The recently completed mural at the School’s premises at Mandeville Place, London is based on the story of the swan which flies to a sacred mountain lake and there feeds on pearls of bliss.
The flight of the swan has a natural rhythm, is beautiful and seemingly effortless. It represents the way of living that is in harmony with nature. The lake represents the place of stillness which is beyond the turmoil of the world, and the pearls are concentrated forms of bliss. These are described as lying hidden deep within the heart but are capable of being discovered by meditation and philosophy.

The idea of the having the mural was to represent the work of the School, as well as to enliven the refectory area of Mandeville Place. We hope that you will come and enjoy it.Donald Lambie
