Philosophy As a Way of Life – short course Spr 20

What we’ll be learning…

Dates: 26 Feb - 25 Mar (Wed, 7pm)
Where: 11 Mandeville Place, London, UK

Philosophy as a Way of Life is a short course exploring how the way the philosophers of Greece and Rome produced an entirely practical way in which to live a full and fruitful life and thereby attain what they called Eudaimonia - true satisfaction and lasting happiness.  In an age where the pursuit of material goods and passing pleasure alone has led to a sense of discontentment, it's not surprising that movements such as Positive Psychology have turned to the wisdom of these philosophers to address these ills.

The course, conducted by William Wray, author and founder of Wisdom Works, presents the thinking of the Classical philosophers in an entirely relevant and practical way so you too can benefit from the results of their inspired insights and understanding.

After four extremely popular five week courses, William is running a fifth, developing the ideas formerly introduced.  These ideas, although rooted  in the heart of the Western tradition, are universal, time honoured and utterly relevant to what it means to live philosophically in the world today.
